Capabilities of “Land Innovation” and Contribution to the Community

Redevelopment business integrates multiple small parcels of land into large scale projects by building consensus among landowners and consulting with authorities through persistent effort, rather than simply constructing buildings on ready-to-use lands. By engaging in the redevelopment business over the years, we have cultivated the capability of “Land Innovation,” which has become our greatest strength in promoting large-scale urban developments, focusing on central Tokyo. Through redevelopment, we contribute to enhancing disaster-preparedness of the city by addressing issues such as densely built-up areas with wooden houses and narrow streets, as well as revitalization of the community.

Roppongi Area

In the east-west area above Roppongi-itchome Station, which has been growing in recent years, we have completed two large-scale mixed-use redevelopment zones. These efforts resulted in the creation of the IZUMI GARDEN, a large urban block of approximately six-hectares with a variety of uses including offices, residences, and retail facilities.

Nishi-shinjuku Area

In addition to the Shinjuku Sumitomo Building, Japan’s first building taller than 200 meters when it was completed, we are involved in a number of large-scale developments encompassing office, residential, retail, and other facilities in Nishi-shinjuku. Through such projects, we are working to promote the development and growth of the area into a complex city.
